How You Can Help

Attend an Event

A great way you can show your support is by attending a fundraising event. Currently our main event is the Working Toward a Day Without Pain Dinner in Buffalo, New York. This dinner is quickly becoming a must attend event in Buffalo. It is an annual event and will be held on October 13, 2012.

Volunteer

Another way you can help Column of Hope is by volunteering. There are a wide variety of activities for which organization could use volunteers. The first is to volunteer for the Working Toward a Day Without Pain Dinner in Buffalo. You can offer your time for the day of the event to help setup, run the event and clean up. If you cannot attend the event you can help with the planning of the fundraiser. The Kane family frequently holds meetings at their house to plan for the event. We can always use help with a great deal of the preparation work that goes into the fundraiser: making signs, writing programs, proof reading, urging people to come to the event and more.

Donate

Donations help pay for administrative costs like printing paper materials, hosting for the website and start up costs for fundraisers.

Donations may also go toward providing translational research services and funding. This means we provide a wide variety of services to academic researchers in addition to financial help. These services will help the researcher to get the successes in the lab to the patients as quickly as possible.

Donations also may go toward Column of Hope's advocacy campaign in Washington. Column of Hope will be giving people with Chiari malformation, syringomyelia, neuropathic pain, spinal cord injury and related conditions a voice on the national political stage. This work will help to put more government dollars into research for these conditions.
